Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what personal information CloudTar collects through cloudtar.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
Who we are
CLOUDTAR TECHNOLOGIES INC. operates cloudtar.com and provides cloud security and managed detection services. For questions about this policy or your personal information, contact us at [email protected] or +1 (647) 794-7841.
What we collect
We collect only what you choose to give us:
- Contact form submissions — your name, work email, organization, phone number if you provide one, the service you selected, and the message you wrote.
- Direct correspondence — anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors. We do not sell personal information to anyone, in any circumstance.
How we use it
Information you submit is used to respond to your enquiry, to provide services you have engaged us for, and to keep records of our business relationship. That is the whole list. We do not add enquiries to a marketing list without you asking us to.
Who processes it
Our contact form is delivered by a third-party form-handling service, which transmits submissions to our email. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare's global network, which processes standard request data such as IP address to serve and protect the site. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are retained for up to two years, in case you get back in touch. Records relating to actual engagements are kept for as long as we have a business relationship, plus seven years to meet legal and tax obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, provide a copy of it, correct anything inaccurate, or delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
Security
We apply the same controls to our own systems that we recommend to clients: multi-factor authentication, least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not ask clients to meet a standard we have not met ourselves.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes, such as identifying automated abuse. These cannot be used to identify you personally across other sites.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we handle information already collected will be communicated directly to affected clients.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
